A very warm hello and welcome to Little Lights Nursery. We are so excited to have you with us! Miss O’Kane, Miss Osborne and Mrs Wells are all looking forward to getting to know you and your family and sharing many happy moments together.
Our Nursery is based on the site of our wonderful primary school, giving children the chance to become familiar with a school environment in a relaxed and reassuring way, while enjoying time alongside older children.
We offer a safe, calm and nurturing indoor space, alongside a fantastic outdoor area with free-flow access throughout the day. Our resources are thoughtfully chosen to inspire curiosity, creativity and joyful learning.
From a comforting hug, to sharing stories and songs, to time spent exploring, discovering and learning through play — each day is filled with warmth, care and natural learning experiences. We can’t wait to begin this special journey with you.

Our Provision
Little Lights Nursery provides a nurturing and engaging environment for children aged 3 to 4 years, delivered by a caring team of experienced practitioners and educators.
We are open Monday to Friday during term time, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., offering families the flexibility to choose morning, afternoon, or full-day sessions to suit their needs.
Children’s development is at the heart of everything we do. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring our curriculum supports children to:
- Learn and develop with confidence
- Feel safe, secure, and healthy
- Gain the knowledge and skills they need for a happy and successful start to school
Our curriculum is complemented by our excellent facilities and carefully chosen resources. We believe that a well-planned, welcoming environment plays a vital role in supporting children’s learning and development.
Little Lights Nursery offers:
- A bright, spacious, and well-resourced classroom, thoughtfully designed to comfortably accommodate up to 26 children
- A brand-new, large outdoor learning area that encourages exploration, discovery, and active play
- Secure boundaries throughout the setting to ensure children feel safe and protected
- Toilets conveniently located within the main classroom area, including accessible facilities
Funding for Children
At Little Lights, we are delighted to be able to offer both 30 hours’ and 15 hours’ free childcare to the parents of 3 to 4-year-olds. We understand the financial impact preschool can have on families, so we are pleased that the parents of children attending our nursery have access to support funding.
